My memory is a siren song of faults my Legs have known a hangover ache a mixed Drink Melody of unseen Sapphire and wine Bruise a wounded Pride that never stops Me stumbling back to the bar The gallons of beer Never sing stop no Bar stool ever screamed at my heaviness The past is a mad Songbird it may never Again be able to sing its grief into my Ears
