They say a praying mantis female will Only bite the head off her mate after Lovemaking if she is indeed hungry Four women share stories at a breakfast Table All our voices lock during sex And how the men seem to masturbate Inside Our bodies we nudge and nod Affirmations holding butterflies and Upward facing eyelashes and our palms While we pray promises to each other Over eggs And sweet potatoes That is the night i dream of My rapist wondering Who will become the meal when i finish
