There's an obsession for calling a black Body Outside its name calling a black woman Outside her name pretending a black Queer woman don't even have one sea i Watch these white folks Make meat of my body and butcher my name Say It sound like and i look all Confused like I ain't fought for my name to sound like Something more than just a death Sentence my name Be a survival story and then i watched a Man cringe Watch his face grimace and humiliation As all this black woman he thought he Could conquer He could claim he could all walk away From his advances But he grabs my arm and my voice crawls Back Inside itself as his breath becomes a Leash around my throat he called me yo Like like my name ain't ring and god's a When i gave birth to him when i weeped For him when i prayed for his ass my Name Be a benediction and then i watch these Movements Take an eraser to my name as if to say All the consonants be silent just like My voice

All the letters hidden like my very Existence And i find that funny cause i saved them All i gave a home to them all See a black queer woman is always front And center so center stage my name my Name Be the main attraction so i know you Know it Because it's always on the tip of your Tongue when you need saving and ain't Not always doing the rescue and see I am your savior so hollowed Be my name You
