The scale was the last to go Because the first time you relapsed It was as if a director yelled cut And just like that the familiar set of The bathroom was torn down and replaced With an award show The tile floor shattered Paparazzi Crawled out of the beige grout the towel Left in a heap on the floor stretched Into a terry cloth red carpet The viewers at home are dying to know Your secret As if the shortcut was as simple as the First night you listened to Fiona Apple Sing hunger hurts but starving works Her voice filling you up like flat soda And vinegar
